Meet Lauren
Lauren brings over 15 years of medical experience to SpeakEasy! She has worked in various hospitals throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania, diagnosing and treating feeding and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Lauren works part-time in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she supports medically fragile and complex infants.
Lauren’s extensive experiences have inspired her holistic, family-centered approach to responsive feeding. She serves her patients by addressing barriers to feeding and mealtimes, providing dysphagia management and resources, and educating and counseling parents and caregivers.
Lauren lives in Jarrettsville with her husband, daughters,
and many pets.
The proud mother of three girls, Lauren struggled with breastfeeding early on. This piqued her interest in helping new moms with similar experiences. Working in the NICU, Lauren has gained an appreciation for how integral supporting breastfeeding and bottle feeding is for new parents. She is knowledgeable and supportive of the breastfeeding dyad.
